Officer’s Messages – November 2019

From the East
WM Eric Willson

November is quickly approaching.  I hope that everyone has had the opportunity to ponder the Grand Lodge proposals that we will be voting on at the stated meeting.  One is a big commitment, and the other a pretty big change to how much we will transform as a fraternity in the coming decades.

Your individual opinions and the discussion of them will help greatly in determining how our Lodge is going to respond to them.

I look forward to seeing you all.

Fraternally yours,
Eric Willson
Worshipful Master

Fall is upon us, Brethren. In our Lodge this is usually a busy time as we have our Thanksgiving Dinner, Holiday Dinner, Elections, Grand Lodge, an Installation, and our usual course of business meetings. We may even have some degrees in there as well.

This is an ideal time to step up and learn a part, get involved, or try something new in Masonry. We have so many opportunities for you. Don’t hesitate to speak to myself or any of the Brothers to talk about your ideas on how you can improve yourself in Masonry.

Brethren, November is already upon us.  November 6 stated meeting we’ll be having Pizza and salad.  Family Pot-Luck dinner will be on Wednesday November 20th which is the third Wednesday instead of the forth Wednesday where Thanksgiving covers the fourth Wednesday. The Lodge will provide the Turkeys.

I will have a sign-up sheet for the potluck for the November Family Dinner. The list will be started at the Oct family dinner, and at the same time there will be a sign-up list for the Christmas party (Children Gifts).  Thanks to all of you for continued help.

Junior Warden

I’m pleased to report receipt of even more petitions requesting Degree work of Freemasonry recently.

They are testaments of the reputation of the fraternity and Mt. Moriah #39 in particular.  I remind you that the fees for initiation are to accompany the completed petition. These new petitions will be read at the next communication.
